I realize that faith is trust in something not seen, but the above is in reference to faith in God, and in that aspect it would be the opposite of fear. It's not OPPOSITE of faith, it's just faith that something unpleasant is going to happen. Since no one can serve two masters, we have to choose which things we are going to direct our faith at -- unpleasant, or pleasant. I think of fear as misdirected (misplaced) faith.
